I have been so excited to share my new amazing news with everyone, but I wanted to wait until it was official to make sure I didnt jinx myself with luck! I am the incredibly proud new owner of the most beautiful studio space in downtown Frederick, Maryland that I could ever imagine. I have loved my studio out in the country for 8 years now, but in the back of my mind I have always wanted a space in downtown Frederick. I would browse the listings occasionally, not find the perfect space, get discouraged, and then forget about it. That all changed this winter when I stumbled upon a space that looked promising, but when I went to go visit it I happened to see a different space directly adjacent, and managed by the same owner. As fate would have it, that tenant was moving out as well, and when I stepped inside it was like I felt the earth shift underneath. This space was everything I could imagine and more. The building is over 200 years old and built in 1790 when Washington was president! There is an exposed brick wall, plenty of storage, heart pine floors, plaster walls, deep pocket window sills, arched exterior front windows, and the most light filled lovely space. The front of the building has metered street parking (free on weekends!) and is painted the cutest shade of bright blue. Every time I drive up to it I am filled with promise and excitement – and I hope that conveys to each client who comes to visit it as well. Getting it ready has been a process, but it’s almost finished and I cant wait to share my vision and dream studio space with all of you when it’s decorated completely. I also cant wait for my very first session in the space (today!) What a lucky little newborn baby boy he will be to be my first studio session here! Cant wait to share more but for now here are some snaps of the day I got my keys – SO EXCITING!
