When I say I love photographing this amazing family and these sweet sisters, there are no truer words spoken. This beautiful mama and I go way way back – all the way to Freshman year college at Wake Forest University. Back to pledging the same sorority (Kappa Delta) and living in the same dorm. We traveled abroad to Australia together, and have spent the last 2 decades being friends and making amazing memories together. I love their two beautiful daughters like my own, and I’ve had the honor of photographing all these sisters’ milestones since they were still in mama’s cute belly. Big sister E is just the spunkiest and most beautiful little girl, full of personality, charm and wit. Baby sister S is as sweet as can be, so smiley and loving and cuddly, and absolutely gorgeous. Both of these cuties have me (and their mom and dad) wrapped around our finger.
For baby S’s one year portraits we met up on a gorgeous Spring day in May, and had the best time chasing them around and getting them to crack up laughing. We found beautiful blooming azaleas, bright green foliage and perfect weather. We did a little outfit change for baby S towards the end since it was celebrating her big milestone birthday, and I love the bold red color on her with all the pale pink and purple flowers everwhere.
Spring had been so long coming this year with the bummer of Cherry Blossom season never peaking, so seeing these gorgeous overflowing gardens of flowers made everyone smile. Photographing them has always been such a joy, and this Spring flower session took the cake! Enjoy these beautiful sneak peeks of the lovely sisters!
