My precious friend’s baby girl is one of my favorite people to photograph. I photographed her newborn session and was so excited to have her back in my studio for some beautiful sitter session portraits. I asked her mama to wear a neutral cream dress, which I think keeps the focus on the baby and the mama and the interactions between them, instead of distracting the eye to bright bold patterns in clothing. I love the sitter session age for portraits because it is the first time babies are sitting up to check out the world around them, and there is such a variety of poses we can do with baby alone. From sitting up to laying down on their belly to leaning against pillows and sitting in chairs and on blankets – it’s the sweetest milestone! I love how happy babies are at this stage too which huge big amazing smiles for me. They havnt usually hit the separation anxiety phase which can start around the first year, so it’s an awesome time to capture that baby stage but before they’re off and crawling and running and upset that they’re without their parents for a few images. This session was one of my favorites in my studio yet, and I loved having these two favorite people with me for this beautiful session. Enjoy the sneak peeks of this amazing baby girl and her lovely beautiful mama!
