This sunset photosession was one of my favorites this year! About 5 years ago I came across a local photographer’s website and figured out somehow that she lived in my neighborhood! Like a total weirdo I sent her an email and told her that we should basically be friends. Luckily she likes weirdos because we have since become close friends and confidants and also an awesome workout coach! This photography industry could be very isolating without people like her in my life, and I am so thankful to her for her friendship, advice and camaraderie over the years. A side bonus is that we often meet up to take eachother’s photos and I treasure the photos she’s taken for my family over the years. I love seeing her kids grow up and seeing the love they have for eachother together. This year her oldest child was hilarious and gave me a million outtakes that kept me laughing throughout the fall busy season. This crew is the real deal and I loved photographing them this fall.
We met up at one of my favorite locations which is just beautiful at sunset, and has the best views of Sugarloaf Mountain in the background. The sunset filtered through the trees perfectly and gave us these amazing backlit images. It wouldnt be a photographer’s family session without some golden hour glow!
