One of the things I’ve loved curating this past year with my new studio is a stunning studio wardrobe collection. This assortment of dresses and outfits for mom as well as kids takes the guess work out of what to wear (especially for maternity or milestone studio sessions). I tend to choose neutral dresses in creams, whites, pale pink or blue to keep the look airy and beautiful. I search boutiques, the internet and stores constantly for the best dresses and items to include for sessions for families (and have started making style boards for families who request that!) I have a few working relationships with select commercial product designers that create beautiful items for children, parents and babies, and these linen dresses from Teal & Finch are so gorgeous. I photographed my own cute little model in this gorgeous dress outside my studio so that she could model this dress perfectly.
I love linen, as it’s so natural and organic and lends itself perfectly to my photographic style. She loved twirling and dancing around in her dress, and I loved the details in the sleeves and the ruffles. This was a perfect dress for the autumn months in Maryland when the weather dips from warm to cool. I love neutral colors in photosession clothing because it keeps the focus on the subjects, and this cream linen is so natural and perfect. I have a full wardrobe on display in my studio that is available for families to use for their sessions, and this is an awesome product to include.
