Sweet newborn baby sister * Washington DC newborn photographer

I was so excited to meet this adorable baby girl as I’ve been photographing this lovely family for several years, and they are always some of my favorite sessions. This time I was able to meet the newest member of their family, beautiful baby E. This gorgeous baby girl did such a great job at her session, perfectly smiling at adorable moments and being so laid back and happy. Big sister A is VERY proud and excited to have a new sister and you can tell little E is loving having a big sister (check out the amazing smile below when she held her). We went outside for some images since there is an incredible field of buttercups growing outside of my studio – and it was the perfect day to get some warm sunshine in as well. Adorable newborn baby boy * Washington DC Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to meet sweet baby J as I photographed big sister E’s newborn session 2.5 years ago, and I always love seeing how my newborn clients have grown up over the years – and I love getting to meet the newest member of their family. True to all they say about second babies too – adorable J was simply perfect. He slept great, loved being held by his parents, loved kisses from his big sister, and was great for his first photosession! Spring flowers and beautiful sisters * Baltimore MD Child and Family Photographer

Sweet baby T is now 6 months old and to celebrate we met up in the most gorgeous flower garden to spend the evening. Big sister R and her played among the tulips, laughing and smiling the whole time. This beautiful family braved impending rain clouds to make this session work – and it couldnt have turned out better. The clouds gave everything a deep rich color and the flowers were absolutely perfect. Baby T is now sitting up all by her self and has the cutest little smile, while big sister R is full of light and happiness – together they make the cutest pair. Sweet baby H was such a perfect little model for me for his first photosession. He slept like a dream and had the sweetest little expressions and coos. He loved cuddling with his mama and daddy, and even loved an occasional sniffing from his big ‘sister’ doggy friend Stella. This family is adorable and so in love with their new baby boy. I always love using hats or blankets and furniture in my client’s homes to make the experience more personal – and in this session we were able to do so much of this – from their gorgeous couch to a knit blanket and even a little lion hat made just for him. Welcome home soldier! * Washington DC Photographer

This session was certainly one of my most heartwarming I’ve ever done. While I usually photograph families in their day to day lives, this lovely family had a special day they needed documenting – as daddy is also a soldier deployed overseas, and was coming home after a long time away. We got the news with only a few days to prepare, and every second we spent in the airport waiting for him to come out of those airport gates felt electrically charged with anticipation and excitement. Each child showed their excitement in their own ways, and it was so emotional to see their little faces eagerly waiting to see their daddy again. The most touching moment for me though was when he saw his beautiful wife again, and grabbed her in the biggest warmest hug you can imagine. Their love was so evident and true – and I am so happy this family has eachother together again. Thank you Dan and Betty (and the kids!) for your service and sacrifice. We are all so appreciative and forever in your debt!

Betty - The images are AMAZING and I am so grateful you were able to be there on such short notice! I love that now we’ll have these photos to remember exactly what Dan’s homecoming felt like, and also that the kids will have these to keep forever too!
