This stunning lavender bloom field family photo session in Frederick Maryland’s own Springfield Manor is one of my favorite traditions each year. Signaling the beginning of summer to me, these fragrant blooms shine in the most lovely purple and green hues, making the perfect backdrop for family photos at sunset. People ask me each year is this in Maryland? With total disbelief as it looks out of France or some exotic location – but yes this is right here at home in Frederick Maryland! I love all of the little boutique farms and specialized crops that our town produces, and adore that they offer these special places for us to spend some time on and photograph beautiful families like this one!
This was a perfect summer sunset there! The lavender bloom field was in full glory, which made for a perfect summer evening with these sweet boys. I loved their outfits, and they loved smelling the flowers, seeing the cool bees flying around pollinating, and running through the meadow and vineyard nearby. This family was so beautiful together and we had such a special night enjoying these stunning lavender fields together.
