One of my favorite weeks of the year is when I do something photography related away from home – typically in the form of a conference, workshop, or brainstorming session with other photographer friends. This year I got to basically combine all three, at an amazing 4 day long Click Away convention in Amelia Island, FL and it was so refreshing. Seeing my old photographer friends in person face to face, connecting with new ones, meeting some amazing teachers and learning from some of the industry’s best creative thinkers sent my mind into overdrive.
One of my favorite experiences was the magical Shalonda Chaddock of Texas’ Chubby Cheek Photography’s beach family workshop class. She personally styled all of the families, and it reinforced to me how much having the outfits all working together can help the flow of the imagery. I loved seeing her again and her posing and beach photography is so gorgeous. I loved taking these images of these beautiful families and I cant wait for more beach travel sessions I’ll be doing this year. From the Palm beaches of Florida to the coast of North Carolina and Maryland, and even down in the Caribbean in Barbados and Nevis this year, I am so excited to bring families my vision for their beach travel photos as well.
