Speaking of stories, mine began as a little girl growing up wild on a Maryland farm. My mom, an artist herself, taught me how to see creatively through a camera lens. After that, I went to work photographing everything imaginable around me.
As I grew up, I was part of the first graduating class of Urbana High School in Ijamsville, MD (1999), where I spent time in the darkroom studying film photography. From there, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University in 2003 while also spending half a year abroad studying business at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
After graduation, I joined Adidas Corp. in their Sports Licensed Division, working alongside the NFL and NBA, which was so fun! As much as I loved my job, I craved going back to my creative, artistic roots. So, I began to pivot and completed photography classes in digital photography, digital process, and lighting at the Indianapolis Art Center, and I loved every minute.
After spending 16+ years documenting families, I’ve learned that everyone has a story—a beautiful, unique, and occasionally chaotic, evolving story. As your photographer, I aim to capture your story through the authentic moments that unravel in your everyday life.

I started my photography business in 2008 and soon left Adidas to pursue a full-time career as a photographer in 2009. Since then, I have photographed over a thousand families and have cherished every session I’ve had the honor of capturing.
After all this time, there’s still nothing quite like photographing the excitement of a family welcoming their newborn baby into the world. This provides parents with a peaceful experience and a reminder of the beauty of the new life they created. When it comes to maternity, baby, children, and family photography, I get to show families that the memories they share are precious, joyful, and worthy of documenting.
A parent once told me that seeing my photo of their newborn baby was like seeing her for the first time and falling in love with her all over again. My family session clients repeatedly tell me that our sessions are a day they look forward to all year long, as it’s one of their favorites as a family.
I take great joy in documenting these milestones in families’ lives, and I can’t wait to reveal your story through my eyes in beautiful, authentic detail.
