This Georgetown session was almost not to be! Already rescheduled once due to threat of rain, we picked the last date that worked before this amazing family moved from Washington DC across the country to their new home in California! As I was driving into Washington DC to meet them in the Georgetown waterfront the rain was pouring down. I have always rescheduled in cases of rain, but knowing that this was our last chance I kept driving in and just crossing my fingers that somehow we could make it work. You can imagine my excitement when I walked up to them and saw sweet little 2 year old D wearing rainboots and a raincoat – fully prepared for whatever we came across weather wise! We ended up having a gorgeous photosession chasing ducks, sightseeing in the beautiful waterfront, splashing in puddles, watching the fountains splash, seeing the pretty foliage in peak color, and just being a loving family together.
This gorgeous family rocked their session as they were super laid back and followed me around totally cool with standing in basically rainy weather, happy to just see their beautiful daughter having the time of her life outside in the rain. She spotted a snakes nest (!) and a mouse as well – which was pretty amazing for a 2 year old to find such animal treasures in downtown DC! This family made my day and I loved every single photo from their session. If a child in rain boots and a rain coat aren’t a perfect example of being 2 I dont know what is!
So excited to share their sneak peeks with you all! Enjoy!
