Beautiful portraits of amazing kids are my all time favorite photography genre! I love photographing so many different groups, from beautiful portraits to maternity to newborns to children and families, and I also love senior photos so much! But if pressed to say what subject I’d love to photograph most I’d have to say I love photographing dolled up gorgeous portraits of kids. Maybe it’s because inside I’m a kid myself, and I’ve always loved dresses, makeup, styled hair and flowers. Maybe it’s because I love flowers and nature and love to showcase the beauty of both humanity and nature by juxtaposing them together. Maybe it’s because I love the beautiful portraits of my daughter who spends hours playing dress up and asks me to photograph her in her pretty outfits (and a son who complies and is agreeable every time I ask for him to be in front of my camera).
Either way this type of photography always makes me giddy as it’s so youthful and fun, and everyone is excited to be there and happy. Some of my favorite recent photos of these beauties were done while I visited the amazing Sandra Bianco photography in Florida. She is one of my favorite photographers for this genre and does it flawlessly. It was a blast meeting her (and the other amazing women there) and I loved photographing these beautiful models. I followed that adventure up with some pretty photos of my own baby girl back in Maryland, as I wanted to make sure I photographed her before she outgrew her silk green dress she loved so much. I know photographing your own kids comes with it’s share of joys and hurdles, but she makes it pretty easy on me with her enthusiasm. I’m so proud to be her mom and watch her grow into such a wonderful child! Enjoy these sneak peeks of these beautiful girls!
