I know everyone here in the Maryland and DC metro area is totally over all this rain we’ve been having and would love the sun to come back and stay a while. Even though it was just last month, it feels like so long ago that I saw these flowering trees and beautiful sunshine! Spring can be so strange! I am sure because it is so fleeting, the weeping cherries are particularly precious to us here in Washington DC. We know how quickly they come and go, and for that we are grateful and thankful when they arrive. For this Spring cherry blossom session I met up with this beautiful family I hadn’t seen since little L here was a newborn baby (about 6 months ago). I loved seeing her starting to sit up and look around with curious and beautifully happy eyes. Big brother here is always awesome and so sweet and adorable, and this family is just so lovely together.
The weeping cherries here at Washington DC park were gorgeous and added such a magical quality to their images, and I loved seeing them walk around the blooms and sit in the shade of the large puffy white cherry trees. I loved photographing this beautiful family and am excited to share their sneak peeks with you all! Enjoy!
