I loved photographing this amazing family in the April blossoms this Spring! This family is so dear to my heart. I first met them as my son began kindergarten in their son’s class, and they instantly became best friends. I kept hearing about Jack, and how amazing he was, and Jack this, Jack that, etc. Soon we were having playdates, and this beautiful mama and I hit if off like peas and carrots. I love her sense of humor, her lightness in her step, and hilarious stories about parenthood and homework and everyday life. Their dad is the sweetest guy alive, and baby Joy is the belle of every room. Big brother Jack has a heart of gold, and has made our family so thankful that our son lucked out to have a best friend like him.
It was my honor to photograph them this Winter for Santa sessions, and then again for little Joy’s ballet costume photos, but this full family April blossom session took the cake for me. I helped pick out their outfits and loved the palette of blush pink, tan, white and deep rose, and it fit perfectly with the gorgeous pink cherry blossoms we found all over local Frederick’s Baker Park in Maryland. Cherry blossoms are such an epic bloom in Spring in the Washington DC area, and every family around here deserves to have classic family photos done among the April blossoms at some point. These kids were all so amazing and happy and adorable, and loved being together as a family on this pretty Spring day.
