Every fall around the holidays, I photograph several big extended family photosessions. Usually these involve family traveling in from all around the world, to celebrate family events and holidays together. They typically involve lots of children, sometimes new babies, new marriages, new loves, and lots of joy and laughter. Everyone is always so happy to be together, home from colleges, off of work and on vacation typically, and it results in the most fun session. This particular group I have loved becoming friends with over the years, and am honored to photograph them year after year as they grow. This amazing session was held at their gorgeous family home and gardens, which was held the night before Thanksgiving. The air was cold, the grasses had turned the prettiest autumn colors, and the tree foliage was in high peak time. We started outside and captured the golden light, and then headed inside for some wine, laughs, and holiday celebrating. Photographing each family unit, then all together is such a cool experience and this group made it fun and so beautiful. I loved meeting up with them this fall for such a gorgeous sunset session and I loved every image we took! Here are just a few of the amazing images we captured on this awesome evening.
