This session here ended up being one of my most special I’ve ever photographed in my whole career. These two incredible dads contacted me when their surrogate was carrying their baby, and we all became so excited at the idea of their baby girl’s newborn photo session. I’ve been friends with these dads (one since back in college at Wake Forest University) for many years, and I’ve loved watching their love grow into a marriage, and now embarking on parenthood together. This gorgeous baby girl of theirs was an absolute doll baby, and was perfect in every single way. These dads have such love for her, and for each other, and they make the most gorgeous and amazing family. This session was so emotional for me as it was the first time during Covid lockdowns that I was able to see my friends from college, and to see them as fathers for the first time and meet their baby girl – it was just all just spectacular. I loved photographing this gorgeous couple and their new baby and I can’t wait to share some sneak peeks from their amazing Washington DC newborn photography session.
