One of my favorite things about the beginning of fall is the gorgeous Maryland wildflower field that blooms in our area. These fields are totally natural and are subject to all sorts of hazards from weather to farming, but this field in particular has been one of my favorites for years. The local farmer who owns this beautiful field allows me to use it each fall and for that I am so grateful – because just check out these beautiful wildflowers! This amazing family is one of my past baby planners so it was super exciting to see how big their beautiful kids have grown up this year. Sweet big brother P was a total ham smiling so big and amazingly for the camera, and loving having his photo taken. Baby L was as beautiful as can be, and she was all about her big brother!
I give these kids major credit because when we first arrived it started to sprinkle just a bit, and there were also grasshoppers and little insect critters everywhere. The kids kept calling them butterflies and were totally ok with everything going on around them, which made for such a sweet and memorable session together. We played in a quilt, did lots of tickling, picked some wildflowers and enjoyed those last minutes of sunset. This family is just a total joy to photograph each year and as one friend referred to this location – it’s like eden!
