There is something so special about photographing Washington DC families downtown at the Georgetown waterfront. Between the fountains, reflecting pools, boardwalk along the river, boats docked and flags waving, and flowers and natural spaces everywhere, the location is just quintessential Washington DC. This amazing boy has grown up in front of my camera and I’ve loved getting to know his amazing family and photographing them every year around his birthday.
We started along the fountain areas where we let little M run around and play, throw pennies into the fountains and getting tickled by daddy. Then we headed to the cool stairs around the fountains where he loved climbing up and down, swinging on the railings and playing peekaboo with his santa hat. We then headed to the boat areas where he ‘helped’ tow a boat in, played with the ducks and looked around at the river and Washington DC cityscape. This amazing family is just so full of joy and love, and I loved seeing him this year and celebrating his birthday in downtown Washington DC at the Georgetown waterfront!
